Break the day – or
the day will break you…
Detective Brett
Hopper is having a bad day. The problem is: he’s
having it over and over and over… Brought
to you by a team behind television success stories such
as Alias and The X-Files, Day
Break is an action-packed thriller starring
Taye Diggs as a man whose worst nightmare has just been
multiplied by infinity.
Framed for killing Assistant District Attorney Anthony
Garza, Hopper finds himself on the run, a danger
to his loved ones and all those around him. Things go
from bad to worse before they go proper wrong, the day repeating over again.
This is about as literal as a vicious cycle can
get, and in order to break the loop and free himself,
Hopper must unmask the devious villains who framed him
and solve the murky mystery surrounding Garza's death.
Naturally he’s going to have to heal some fractured
relationships along the way.
Caught in the crossfire of this surreal nightmare is
girlfriend Rita Shelten (Moon Bloodgood), the first to
be sacrificed by the mysterious individuals out to frame
Hopper; ex-partner Chad Shelten (Adam Baldwin) an Internal
Affairs agent who knows more about what's going on than
he's willing to admit; sister, Jennifer Mathis (Meta
Golding), whose children are used as pawns to close the
net on Hopper; his partner, Andrea Battle (Victoria Pratt),
a shady character under scrutiny by the department and
Internal Affairs; and reputed gang leader Damien Ortiz
(Ramon Rodriguez) who discovers that his police-protected
cover has been inexplicably blown because, for reasons
unknown, he is now a target in the conspiracy against
Hopper.
Somehow Hopper must emerge from this tangled web of conspiracy
and corruption, and fight to save himself and those close
to him by bringing about the dawn of a brand new day.
But he must carefully weigh each decision he makes, as
all will have consequences, be they advantageous or disastrous.
A hard-boiled hybrid between 24, Groundhog Day and The
Fugitive, Day Break is a cryptic white-knuckle ride that
just won’t let up. Catch it now, exclusively on Bravo!
